The State Journal-Register.

Tom Ala e-mailed Tuesday with this picture of Cooper’s hawks having a meal after a successful pigeon hunt.

“There’s a hawk busy eating a pigeon right outside my office window by Memorial Medical Center,” he wrote. “He’s been here for a couple hours already.”

Also on Tuesday, Ben Romang captured this bald eagle near Rochester.

“I was driving in Rochester this morning when I saw something white fly through the trees,” Romang wrote. “I went home to grab my camera and returned to find this bald eagle perched on a branch. This was one of the few photos I could get, as it did not want me near it.”
