The Sangchris Waterfowlers will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at the all-purpose building just off the East Boat Dock parking lot.

The purpose of the meeting will be to solicit ideas or concerns about the waterfowl hunting program at Sangchris Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area located southeast of Springfield.

“This seems to be a good date for a meeting as the past hunting seasonis still fresh in our minds,” said Randy Cooke, president of the Sangchris Waterfowlers Association.

“The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss any changes that we as an organization would like to see implemented in to the waterfowl program and to also pass along questions to Mike Chandler the biologist for Sangchris,” he said.

“At last years meeting we also had several people step forward and volunteer to brush blinds, put up signs, and what ever else we as hunters could do to better the hunting experience at the Park. I would like follow along with that again this year.”
