Deer hunting season closes

JAN. 19
A Raptor Focus Series, sponsored by Springfield Audubon Society, will feature the natural history of each featured species and view a live example.
The cost is $25 for entire three-part series paid in advance or $10 walk-in fee the night of programs.
Programs will be held from 6 – 7 p.m.
Jan. 19, Peregrine Falcon; 
Feb.16, Re-tailed Hawk; 
March 15, Barn Owls.

The Central Illinois Fantails Hunting Heritage Banquet will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Springfield Firefighters Lake Club, 940 W. Lake Shore Dr.

The Sangchris Bass Club will hold its annual membership meeting starting at 7 p.m. at the East Boat Ramp club building.
Officers will be elected and a schedule and tournament rules discussed. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to attend.
