Lake Shelbyville Eagle Day coming up Feb. 15

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting the 3rd Annual Eagle Day event Feb. 15 at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center.
The Illinois Raptor Center will present birds of prey programs at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Both will feature a bald eagle along with other live birds of prey.
There is no cost to attend, but seating is limited.
A portion of the tickets can be picked up in advance at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center during normal business hours from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Feb. 10.
There is a limit of 6 tickets per person that can be picked up prior to the day of the event.
All remaining tickets will be available the day of the event.
In addition to the birds of prey programs, park rangers will have spotting scopes and binoculars available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The equipment will be available in the lobby for those interested in viewing the birds on Lake Shelbyville.
There will also be activities available for children.
