Kaskaskia River restrictions lifted

July 10, 2008 at 07:33 AM

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources lifted restrictions Tuesday for recreational boaters and fishermen on a 21-mile section of the river from mile marker 0.0 (the confluence of the Kaskaskia and Mississippi Rivers) to mile marker 21.0, which included all of Randolph County and the main boat ramps in Evansville and Baldwin.

That section of the river had been off-limits since June 23 because of high water.
