Fall hunting seasons roundup

August 22, 2013 at 02:55 PM

The State Journal-Register

The first of Illinois’ hunting seasons already are underway.

Squirrel hunting started Aug. 1, and more seasons are right around the corner.

The help keep everything straight, here is a compilation of Illinois hunting seasons in chronological order.

Those who do not hunt, but enjoy the outdoors, also should be aware of the hunting season dates. Some seasons result in temporary closures of some areas for safety reasons.

Check with the site office before hiking in, or using areas popular with hunters.

See the Illinois Digest of Hunting and Trapping Regulations for daily hunting hours, bag limits and possession limits.
