Nov. 12, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Adult Raptor Camp, Presented by the Illinois Raptor Center.  One intense day with birds of prey.  Identification, natural history, falconry/education equipment and raptor handling.  Up close and personal.  Cost: $150.00 per person.  For reservations, contact the Center at 217.963.6909 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for registration form.

Nov. 6, 1 - 3 p.m.

Friends of Sangamon River Volunteer Work Day.  Seeding, invasives cutting/removal.  Tools provided.

Nov. 13, 1 - 3 p.m.

Invasives cutting/removal, trail maintenance.  Tools provided.

Nov. 17,  7 - 8 p.m.

Springfield Audubon Society Program. “Franklin’s Ground Squirrel Research in Sangamon County,” presented by Chris Young, Outdoor Editor, State Journal Register.

Dec. 11, 1 - 3 p.m.

Volunteer Work Day.  Invasives cutting/removal, trail maintenance.  Tools provided.

Dec. 15, 7 - 8 p.m.

Springfield Audubon Society Program.  “Barn owl Recovery Plan in Illinois,” presented by Dr. T. J. Benson, Illinois Natural History Survey.
