Ibex on the face of a dam

September 02, 2010 at 06:37 AM

I don’t know where this is, but these ibex (if they are ibex) are kind of cool. They’re certainly safe from predators.

Huge Idaho elk

August 29, 2010 at 01:35 PM

Here’s a huge elk apparently killed at Broadmouth Canyon Ranch in Idaho on Aug. 18. This one was first called “the soon to be official world record typical elk.” Score was said to be 525 typical by an SCI Master Measurer and 546 non-typical.

But the Broadmouth Canyon Website says the place has, “Guaranteed elk hunts on the west’s largest wilderness hunting preserve.”

The place has 70,000 acres of free-range hunting and 10,000 acres of high fence hunting.

Hmmm.
