Young central Illinois angler advances to national bass tournament

Clayton Trueblood of Petersburg took first place in his age group during the Illinois Bass Federation Illinois State Championship for anglers ages 11-18 at Clinton Lake May 20.
Clayton, 14, advances to the 2012 National Guard Junior World Championships to be held in August on Lake Lanier in Georgia.
To earn first place in the 11-14 years old division, he weighed five bass totaling 15.32 pounds including the tournament’s biggest bass at 4.06 pounds.
His parents are Kerry and Ashley Trueblood of Petersburg, and Jill and John Kaylor of Riverton.
