The time is right for big bass

Les Winkeler of The Southern Illinoisan says the time is right for catching big bass in southern Illinois.

Winkeler interviewed pro Chad Morgenthaler for an article on early spring bass fishing. Writes Winkeler:

“And, although a jig is always an effective early season bait, Morgenthaler’s bait of choice for early season fish is the jerk bait.”
