Sites allowing bowhunting during gun season
November 20, 2008 at 05:13 PM
Here’s a quiet topic some folks don’t want mentioned this time of year.
Some state sites that are not open to gun hunting allow archery deer hunting during the firearm seasons.
To see the complete list, deer biologist Paul Shelton said you can read Administrative Rule (670) that has the regulations for archery deer hunting. In section 670.60, those sites that have an asterix (*) in front of them are the ones which are not open to gun hunting that may be archery hunted during the firearm dates.
One note: Jubilee College State Park should not be included as a site that allows bowhunting. That is an error.
