I WONDER IF BRADY WILL REPEAT WHAT HE TOLD COOK COUNTY GOP,ABOUT OUTDOORS PEOPLE NOT PAYING FOR THE STATES WILDLIFE RESOURCES?DUCK HUNTERS COST THE STATE TO MUCH MONEY,WE HAVE TO PAY 2 PEOPLE TO SET AT DUCK HUNTING AREAS TO DRAW BLINDS,COUNT HARVEST NUMBERS,HE WANTS HUNTERS TO PAY 150.00 FOR A CHANCE TO BUILD BLINDS AT THE BEST AREAS,DEER HUNTERS TO PAY FAIR MARKET VALUE ON EACH DEER THEY HARVEST,OUT OF STATE OUTFITTERS ARE THE ONES BRINGING THE TOURIST DOLLARS TO ILLINOIS,SO WE NEED TO WELCOME THESE PEOPLE INTO OUR HUNTING AREAS.BULLCRAP I WAS BORN HERE,RAISED HERE,I HAVE PAID MY FAIR SHARE OF TAXES AND FEE,S.NO MILLIONAIRE IS GOING TO TELL ME I HAVE TO LET OUT OF STATERS HAVE FREE SHARE OF MY PLACES!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim57, perhaps you would like to share your source for the alledged remarks by Mr. Brady concerning the Illinois outdoorsmen not paying their fair share of taxes and fees.  And, oh, by the way, maybe you could tell all of us sportsmen who paid the 11% excise tax on fishing equipment, hunting equipment, firearms and ammunition sold in the State of Illinois in the last thirty years, where the money went!  Under a new study by the Illinois Policy Institute, the IDNR (under the Blagojevich/Quinn Administrations) millions of dollars generated by the Pittman Robertson Act, has been stolen from the state’s sportsmen and spent by the IDNR for research that has not had anything to do with hunting and fishing sports.  The P-R taxes were to go specifically to fund fish and wildlife projects, not to pay for maintaining Web sites, non-game related studies, and other “nambi-bambi” projects that have nothing to do with the legitimate business of the IDNR. LOL I like the part where Mr. Miller declined to comment, what happened to him doing whats right for us? or his promise to fix the department? The DNR didn’t even comply with the information request. Hey Mr. Miller while you were busy making us all pay more, which reduced permit sales, how much money was stolen?

jim57: please provide a source to your comment about Brady.  I’d find it very surprising that Brady would have to “stick it” to hunters in order to get GOP votes in Chicago. This just doesn’t make any sense.  Protecting the second amendment is a cornerstone of the Republican party and many of the gun owners in this state also hunt.

Also, what difference does it make that Brady is a millionaire?

What out of stater has “free share” of any hunting lands in Illinois?
