Quad Cities outdoor show underway
The 30th annual Quad Cities Conservation Alliance Hunting, Fishing, and Outdoor Adventure Show is undrway through Sunday at the QCCA Expo Center, located at 2621 4th Ave. in Rock Island.
The popular show features vendors, seminars and kids’ activities. Hours are Friday 4-9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $6; $1 for ages 6-16. Discount advance adult tickets can be purchased at local Hy-Vee food stores and Burke Cleaners. Click here for information or call (309) 788-5912.
The 60,000-square-foot Expo Center will be full of fishing, hunting and other outdoor information, plus related equipment.
About half of the space will be filled with the newest boats, outboards and trailers showcased by Ted’s Boatarama, Bitler Marine, Grace Marine, Davenport Boat & Marine, Bob’s Marine, Illowa Boat & Marine (formerly Larry’s Marine), Buell Marine, M&M Marine and Ferris Boat & Motor.
In the other half of the Expo Center there will be booths of fishing tackle retailers, fishing charters and guides, vacation destinations, fishing tournament organizations, state and federal fish and wildlife agencies and much more.
There will be a hands-on archery range, BB gun range, trout pond, minnow racetrack and rock-climbing wall for children.
