PSO welcomes Jim Mordacq
In our never-ending quest to provide Illinois outdoors enthusiast with more information, we’ve added yet another blogger to Prairie State Outdoors.
The latest addition is Jim Mordacq of Springfield, who blogs under the title Shootin’ Whitetails. He’s already posted his first entry and said he has plans for more.
If the name doesn’t ring a bell, the pictures should. Jim has been supplying us with cool pictures of whitetails for the past three years. Given all the good pictures he comes up with, it seemed fitting to offer him his own space.
So that’s what we’ve done. I think you’ll like what you see in the days and months to come.
As Jim said, “You’re always worried in the field about what your images will look like but it’s all worthwhile when you get that one special image that you’ve been looking for.”
Certainly Mordacq is a timely addition, as archery season is rapidly approaching.
And he becomes the eighth new blogger we’ve added at PrairieStateOutdoors.com since August of 2009. We hope you enjoy the mix of opinions, pictures and viewpoints that all our bloggers offer. And we are always looking for new voices. Right now we are looking for a blogger or bloggers who have an interest in the following subjects:
- Archery deer hunting
- Waterfowl
- Largemouth bass fishing
- Shooting sports

looking forward to reading Jim’s blog.
good choice PSO !
Excellent Choice! Jim has a special eye and special talent when it comes to photographing the deer - he understands them and they accept him. I’ve been lucky enough to go out with Jim and our cameras on several occasions - wonderful and knowledgeable fellow to spend time with. Looking forward to Jim’s blog greatly!
Jim welcome. I am looking forward to all you Hawg Whitetail pictures!
I have seen some of his pictures posted on the SJR web site, and I would really like seeing more of them. I am looking forward to seeing some pictures of some big Sangamon County bucks that I may not see in my part of the County.
Congrats Jim! looking forward to your blogs & photoz.
