Police: Nebraska thief steals hunting gear, posts on Facebook
The Associated Press
KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) — Police in southern Nebraska say a Facebook posting led to the arrest of a man accused of stealing hunting gear.
The Kearney Hub (http://bit.ly/RYOtjv ) reports Jacob Shaw faces one count of felony theft by receiving stolen property worth more than $1,500.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office says Shaw stole duck and goose decoys and boats from a hunting cover near the city of Gibbon. They say Shaw then posted photos of the equipment with his contact information on a Facebook exchange page.
The newspaper reports Shaw is being held at the county jail. He is scheduled in court later this month.
Shaw’s attorney says his client has no comment about the case.
