Pete and Lou Ochs win Lake Springfield catfish tournament

Pete and Louie Ochs took first place in the Lake Springfield Open Buddy Catfish Tournament Series event held July 21.
They weighed six channel catfish for a total of 44.6 pounds.
Thirty-eight boats competed.
Second place went to Bill Parfitt and Jason Rath with six channel catfish weighing 37 pounds, only one-tenth of a pound better than the third place team.
Matt Murbarger and Matt Lamb weighed six channel catfish totaling 36.9 pounds, including big fish honors with a fish weighing 14.5 pounds.
The next tournament is Aug. 18 with signup from 5 – 5:45 p.m. The tournament launches at 6 p.m. from the Lindsay Bridge Boat Ramp.
