SUNDAY and MONDAY
The Sangchris Bass Club will host a fundraising singles tournament Sunday and Monday. This is an open tournament. Anyone can fish. Hours are 5:30 a.m. – noon each day. The tournament launches from the East Boat Dock. Winners will be determined by the total weight for two days. Cost is $35 per angler. Call Rod Cook at 899-5556.
TUESDAY
Tuesday night bass tournaments continue at Sangchris Lake, starting at 5:15 p.m. The cost is $25 per boat. The tournament launches from the East Boat Dock. Call Rod Cooke at 899-5556.
THURSDAY
Weekly Thursday night bass tournaments continue at Lake Springfield. Takeoff is at 5 p.m. from the Lindsay Bridge Boat Ramp. Sign up at the ramp. Call Steve Parker at 741-4255 or e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
JUNE 11
An Interurban Youth Fishing Program will be held from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the pond near Abundant Faith Christian Center, 2525 Taylor Ave. The event is free and open to kids under the age of 16. Poles and bait will be provided. Food and prizes for kids also will be available. Call 331-8465 for more information.
The Annual Seniors Fishing Event for those 60 and older will be held at the pond in Conservation World on the Illinois State Fairgrounds from 5 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Bring your own gear. Fishing will be for catfish only and there is a limit of five fish per angler. Call Lou Matsko at 899-5178.

The next installment of the Lake Springfield Open Buddy Catfish Tournament Series will be an evening tournament launching at 6 p.m. from the Lindsay Bridge Boat Ramp.
Tournament hours run until 2 a.m. June 26.

The Eighth Air National Guard Family Support Open Buddy Bass Tournament will be held on Lake Springfield June.
Hours are 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The entry fee is $130 per boat ($25 goes to family support).
