Whitetails Unlimited’s River Prairie Banquet is Aug. 12 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe. Social hour 5:30 p.m., dinner 7 p.m. Auction and prizes. Proceeds go to National Archery in Schools and other conservation projects. Tickets $40 each, $20 for a spouse and $20 for children 15 and under. Trapping events

The 17th annual Free Trappers Rendezvous is Sept. 24-Oct. 2 at Lake B in Middlegrove. Black powder shoots, bow shoot, hawk and knife competition. Public welcome between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Period dress required, (309) 258-1306.
RESULTS

Bass tournaments

Mitch Webber and Dan Kneer won Presley’s Outdoors tournament last Monday at Banner East. Frank Campbell and Jim Buish placed second.

Jeff Meeker and Scott Garlish won the Gary Lee Weber Buddy Elimination Bass Tournament held July 23-24 at Peoria Sportmen’s Club with a total weight of 42.17 pounds. Donnie Schimmelpfenning III and Cody Watson placed second (40.20) and Rod Haley and Kevin Franklin third (33.80). Big bass winners were Brad Heitzman and Bo Canada (6.05) on July 23 and Rod Haley and Kevin Franklin (5.88) on July 24.
