Now’s a fine time for trail cams
One thing is sure about trail cameras: you never know what pictures they might take.
And now is a prime time to get your cameras set says Rod Kloeckner in a recent article in the Belleville News-Democrat.
Trail cameras are one of the biggest innovations in deer hunting in the past 30 years, and the month of July is prime time for hunters to situate their cameras, if they haven’t done so already.
“This is about the time that 90 percent of your hunters will start putting them out,” said Roger Blaes, manager of Town Hall Archery in Belleville. “You still have the ones that keep them out most of the year, but in July, it seems that’s when everybody wants to know what’s going on.
“Now, the deer are coming into velvet, they’re looking much larger, they’re moving ... that kind of stuff.”
