Mackinaw youth pheasant hunt

There are still 18 permits available for the Illinois Youth Pheasant Hunt at Mackinaw River SFWA as of Aug. 28. This is a special one-day hunt available for young hunters between the ages of 10-15. 

Applications for the Controlled Pheasant Hunting second lottery will be accepted through Sept. 6 at 12:00 midnight. If all of the permits are not allocated, applications will be accepted during a third lottery period starting Sept. 7th, at 12:01 am through Sept. 20th at 12:00 midnight. 

Any permits remaining after the third lottery will be filled on a first-come first-served basis beginning at 8 a.m. on Sept. 26th until all permits are gone or until 24 hours before the Oct. 31 hunt date.
