Land Between The Lakes turkey hunting applications online

GOLDEN POND, Ky. (AP) — Applications for the first six hunting days of the turkey season at Land Between the Lakes become available this week.

Hunters can apply online at http://www.lbl.org beginning Wednesday. Three quota hunts in both the Kentucky and Tennessee portions of LBL require prior application.

The National Forest Service said the Kentucky hunts include a two-day youth hunt March 31-April 1 and regular two-day hunts on April 5-6 and April 14-15.

In Tennessee, the youth hunt is Feb. April 7-8 and the regular quota hunts are April 9-19 and April 14-15.

The quota hunt fee is $5 and hunters can apply all during February.

Non-quota hunts that don’t require prior application are also in April at LBL.
