Illinois River headed for moderate flooding
June 24, 2010 at 09:56 PM
Heavy rains will send the Illinois River rising through at least Monday evening in the Peoria area. Latest predictions are for a peak of 23 feet in the Peoria pool on Monday.
Havana is expected to see a 21.9-foot river by Tuesday evening.
That equates to moderate flooding damage and means many boat ramps will be underwater. Bass tournaments scheduled for this weekend on the river may be called off. And planting crops in waterfowl refuges will be delayed even more, making aerial-seeded millet the only option for most sites.
Anybody else ready to see the rain stop?

I guess you call that moderate, only because these once in a lifetime floods have happened 4 yrs in a row - so now its sort of the norm.
