Illinois has 16 new CWD cases
January 16, 2010 at 10:18 AM
Chronic wasting disease tests have found 16 new positives as of last week among deer killed during the archery and firearm seasons in northern Illinois.
Not all tests have been completed on this season’s hunter-harvested deer.
Boone County had six of the new cases, while Winnebago County had four, DeKalb three, McHenry two and Stephenson one. Last year 30 cases were discovered.
The latest cases bring Illinois’ total to 273 since the first diseased deer was found near Roscoe in 2002.

CWD isnt as big of a problem as DNR disease!
With all the sharpshooting here in Winnebago Co. over the years, that was probably the last 4 deer we had. Thank IDNR, dont have to worry about that anymore.
