Campbell, Dundel win HOI Crappie tourney

The first HOI Crappie club tournament was a big success. Tim Hanaurer and Fred Fleming reported they had 7 boats fishing Johnson lake at Banner.

Frank Campbell and Tim Dundel won the tournament with a catch of five fish weighing 5.3 pounds. Plus, they won big fish contest with a 2 pounder. John Gregory and Michelle Gregory took second with four fish weighing 3.2 pounds. Third place went to the team of Tim Hanauer and Nick Hanauer with one fish.

The club’s next tournament is set for June 4, 2011 at Lake Bloomington, which has a 40hp limit.
