Grandparents and kids invited to fishing event at Conservation World

Prairie State Outdoors

A free fishing event for grandparents and children will be held from 8 a.m. - noon July 28 on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

The event will be held at Conservation World on the northwest corner of the fairgrounds.

AARP, Illinois Conservation Foundation and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity are sponsoring the morning’s activities.

Anglers of all ages are welcomed and but are asked to sign up for the event by calling (877) 926-8300. 

Anglers can bring their own gear or can borrow a fishing pole at the event.
