Firearm deer photos are rolling in
Prairie State Outdoors

From Phil Warren: “We leased property in Scott County, this year.
My wife, Sarah Warren, was able to harvest her first whitetail deer on opening morning of the 2012 Firearm Season.
This was her first hunt and she was the first shot within ear distance opening morning.
Talk about making it look easy.
To say she is “hooked” is an understatement.
What a great experience for us both!
Now she is sharpening her bow hunting skills and we look forward to many more great memories in the outdoors.”

From Jason Caraway: “I shot this buck on 1 p.m. Nov. 18 near Altamont in Effingham County.
I used my Thompson Omega Muzzle loader.
“This buck was a 15 point, 240 pound giant.
Thanks for allowing me to share this photo to show off my deer.”

From Shonn Hild:
“I shot this buck opening day of gun season, my first buck ever.
I shot two does last year, my first year hunting.
He field dressed 199 pounds.
G2s were 11 inches plus. Bases were almost 5 inches around.
I had to get a picture with my future hunting buddy before I took it to the taxidermist.”
