Hunters can still apply for several thousand Illinois firearm deer hunting permits available after the first two rounds of lotteries. Random daily drawings start Sept. 15 and will run through Nov. 7.

the dnr probably ain’t got the postage to mail them to you…
No, Rod’s come up with a new way to earn more revenue. They are gonna just keep printing tags till the states budget balances. Don’t worry about the deer, they are a renewable resource aren’t they?
deer aint renewable but they are pretty dang close. the state needs to sell antlerless tags over the counter and for 5 bucks per tag and do some kind of organizing of a food drive to get all deer donated to the hungry. i love poppin does and would gladly do it. heck, ive killed 19 does the past 3 years. makes for good eating, and isnt that the REAL reason to hunt?
Can anyone explain how someone selected by the random lottery is notified? I put my son in for the youth hunt and would really like for him to get a tag. Thanks for the information
