Les Winkeler wrote a story about Evans for this week’s Southern Illinoisan. Writes Winkeler:

Evans is the coordinator of the River To River Cooperative Weed Management Area, a consortium of government and private agencies, including the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and The Nature Conservancy, who see invasive species as serious business.
