BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota’s Game and Fish Department is making 5,795 wild turkey licenses available for the spring hunting season, a drop of 14 percent from last year.
Wildlife officials cite a smaller turkey population due to three straight harsh winters and poor reproduction last spring.
The spring season opens April 14 and runs through May 20.
