What’s new and exciting at the Chicago Muskie Showthis year?
This is the 15th CMS and each year we try to have an infusion of exciting new exhibitors and speakers. Our opening seminar on Friday promises to be a sensational video presentation by Don Schwartz. Don will be showing spectacular never before seen underwater footage of muskies approaching and attacking baits. Also on Friday world renowned author, photographer, and fly fisherman Robert Tomes will show us how to catch muskies on the fly. Robert is a wonderful speaker and is super knowledgeable in this newly popular way to hunt muskies.
Young veteran Luke Ronnestrand will give a seminar that explains how to work the huge double bladed bucktails and what tackle is best suited for them.
On Sunday, Mike Keyes and Dave Brown will discuss soft plastics. The use of these productive lure types is often misunderstood and they will explain it all along with showing incredible action videos.
As far as new exhibitors, we’re very excited to have Just Encase at the show. They have a wonderful line of clear plastic storage systems that really stow and display your muskie baits.
Also new is H2O Tackle with a high quality line of diving plugs and other baits.
Dutch Fork Lures is a lure refinishing and paint shop that specializes in chrome finishes. They also make their own muskie plugs.
Joe Bucher Outdoors is returning to the show with their incredible line of muskie baits. Tying in with Robert Tomes’ seminar, we have Chicago Flyfishing
Outfitters as a new exhibitor.
The Chicago Muskie Shoe always has a great group of quality resorts. New resorts this year include Rough Rock Lodge on the Minaki Chain and back after a several year’s absence Angle Outpost on Lake Of The Woods.
Door prizes will be given to early arrivals and numerous free drawings and giveaways occur regularly during the three days of the show. The Chicago Muskie Show is at Harper College, corner of Roselle and Algonquin Roads, Palatine, IL just north of Interstate 90. Show hours are Friday, January 8th, Noon to Nine, Saturday January 9th, Nine to 7:00 PM, and, Sunday January 10th, Nine to Five.
