Favorite piece of gear? Two rocks in my fanny pack. Given to me by my kids as good luck charms.

Gear you splurged on? Mathews Drenalin bow. Accurate, fast and quiet.

Most memorable outing in Illinois? With my daughter when she got her first bowkill in 2005 and this year with my son for his first gun kill during the youth season.

What got you interested in hunting? Seeing my uncles come home from hunts with deer and bears tied to the roof of a truck.

How long have you been hunting? This is my 21st season.

Favorite species to hunt? Whitetail deer.

What breed hunting dog do you have? German shorthaired pointers
