The View From Above Part II

Just because aerial photographs can be informative, doesn’t mean they can’t be a bit artistic.
The photo above shows the winding Sangamon River between Springfield and Havana. One can look at this picture and imagine the not so distant future when the river will cut between the meanders and leave an oxbow lake wetland behind.
The picture of sycamore trees standing bare at Carpenter Park just struck me. We were flying over the park on another story and the sycamores with their white trunks just stood out from the rest of the forest. It was a picture taken more for fun than to inform or teach anyone about Carpenter Park.
