The best of fall

Despite some rainy and windy weather, there have been a few days that were great for photography.
Here is a sample of photos - most have illustrated articles, news items and announcements here at PSO over the past few weeks.
I hope you had time to get outside. Fall is on its way out - and quickly.
Top photo: A buck chases a doe on the opening morning of firearm deer season.

A northern pintail lifts off from The Nature Conservancy’s Emiquon Preserve in Fulton County.

A flock of ducks - mostly green-winged teal - lifts off from the north pool of the Chautauqua National WIldlife Refuge north of Havana.

Photographed through tree branches gives this scene of ducks and geese taking flight from Lake Chautauqua a painterly quality.
