Chris' Camera Bag
A Photo Web log by Chris Young

While photographers take great pains to be sure their photos are tack sharp, sometimes a little blur or movement actually can enhance things. This trickle of falling water, photographed at 1/8 of a second at Matthiessen State Park (near Starved Rock State Park) adds action and movement to a static scene. Experiment with shutter speeds to find what looks best. Sometimes freezing the spray of water with a high shutter speed works. Sometimes slowing down to let the flow blur and move through the picture is better. Experimenting is half the fun.
