Wood Ducks At Home In Town

These wood ducks were photographed in Washington Park, a city park in the center of Springfield. The ducks seem to be adapting just fine to urban life. Don’t overlook city parks as possible places to find good wildlife photos. We can’t all travel to exotic destinations all the time. Parks also are excellent places to view migrating birds. Most birders know this already, but nature photographers might not. There likely are great opportunities for pictures within a few city blocks.
