Brian Elliott and Garrett and Drake Whitehurst of Yates City shot these local Canada geese out of a small farm pond near Farmington last September. The boys had to crawl in within 50 yards of the birds and were able to drop two adults and two young birds. Garrett Whitehurst won a coin flip to get the band from the one banded bird.
