Jason Pullen’s 150 class buck
Trophy Tidbits
Scorable Points: 10
Kill Date: 10-16-2010
County: Fulton
Season: Bow
I decided to hunt my farm in Fulton County. The day was supposed to be somewhat cool and windy. At daylight it seemed that the temperature was starting to climb. I set up at the North end of the disced corn field. I wasn’t aware that the farmer had been and worked the field. I had placed the decoy about 40 yards up wind facing me. About 8:15, I looked around and still had not seen a deer. I told myself I would stick it out till 9:00. I figured that the deer were using the other side of the farm for food. I turned to my left and saw the buck 15 yards behind me staring at the decoy. I reached my bow and drew back. It only took me a matter of second to anchor and release. I watched the arrow disappear in front of the front shoulder. The buck was quartering towards me. After running 50 yds, my trophy was mine. This was the second Pope and Young buck taken out of the same tree over a decoy.
