Alan Jenkins’ 16-pointer

October 19, 2009

Illinois hunting and fishing

Trophy Tidbits

Scorable Points: 16

Kill Date: Oct. 19, 2009

County: West central Illinois

Season: Bow

Alan Jenkins says he has been after this deer now for the past few years and this year decided to pick up a bow. This was his first deer as a bowhunter.

Jenkins also has the last two years of sheds from this buck.

Jenkins said the buck was green-scored at 201 6/8 gross typical and 185 6/8 net typical.

The deer has 13 points, but Jenkins said the G3 and G4 are questionable on the right side and will impact the final scoring.

Hey Bosshogg thanks for being a real dbag and giving away the county and town of kill. It must be real nice to be up the outfitters a$$. Im sorry people like you enjoy ruining bonds that have been built over the past decades bewteen farmers and local hunters. Cause all you can think about is yourself, and the dollar signs. When us local boys are hurting for a spot to hunt. Alan congrats on your first deer by bow. Its people like yourself that are a perfect example of what hunting is about.

Vdub, thats the funniest thing I’ve read on here in a long long time. I don’t feel sorry one damn bit that you don’t have a place to hunt and your “bond” must not have been very strong if all it took was some money to break it. Warsaw sure does have some great terrain and some giant deer. Its a great area!

Btw, get over it dbag!

ILBOW just to let you know i have plenty of ground to hunt im not speaking for myself. Have you ever really talked to any local people and heres a good quote by one of our outfitters here ” I’ll have all the ground in Hancock one of these days, Cause money talks and bs walks” its a little ridiculous for someone who is well hated to around here to say. And im guna agree with you the terrian is great but our woods are already full enough.
