Show Motion By Stopping Action
November 15, 2007 at 09:03 PM
Sometimes, stopping the motion can be the best way to show movement. In this instance, the three bounding deer serve almost as a multiple exposure. They convey motion together. Beautiful, early morning light helps set the mood at the Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area near Chandlerville.
Fall is a great time to take pictures of wildlife. However, be respectful of hunters using the same areas. Be mindful of pick-up trucks parked nearby that may indicate a hunter is in the woods. And always keep an orange hat and vest in the car, just to be safe.
Check in at the park office before setting off, and remember that some sites are closed to other uses during firearm season.
